Nevada Cannabis and Marijuana License

In the last years, many states of the U.S such as Hawaii, Montana, Illinois have legalized the use of cannabis and Marijuana. Nevada also is on the list. You will only need a Nevada cannabis and marijuana license to freely use marijuana and cannabis.

Starting a business of cannabis and marijuana

Nevada cannabis and marijuana license for dispensaries

If you want to open a dispensary in Nevada you should apply and get a Nevada cannabis and marijuana license. First of all, you will need to fill in the application form and pass a background check. In Nevada, the dispensaries should be located more than 1000 feet away from the schools, educational institutions, and communities.

In addition, the dispensary must be in a separate building. It must have a commercial or industrial zone. The territory of the dispensary must fully meet the requirements of the state. The applications are not always open. You must wait for the application called by the state.

In Nevada, all the retail companies are supervised by the state government. Thus, they must connect their system to the state’s seed-to-sale system that tracks all the data. Moreover, the companies must monthly report all the data about sales, disposals, products, etc.

The retail tax in Nevada is 10 percent for recreational cannabis. The county has also a sale opportunity.

Distributor License

Along with other types of licenses, in Nevada, we can find another one. Distributor license for cannabis and marijuana is for people who want to transport marijuana and cannabis. In fact, they both are classified as alcohol in Nevada. Therefore, the people who transport them must have Nevada Cannabis and Marijuana Distributor License.

The license is mainly for adult-use marijuana. Medical marijuana and cannabis people can still deliver with medical licenses.

Who can get a medical card for marijuana and cannabis?

Can I grow cannabis for my personal use?

I have been traveling out of state for a short period of time. I have bought cannabis. Can I bring it to Nevada?

No. You are not allowed to bring cannabis and marijuana to Nevada. You can only legally use marijuana and cannabis bought and produced in Nevada. If the police find out you have cannabis with you when entering the borders of the state, you may be required to pay penalties or even be sent to jail.
